Head of Service Reiterates Commitment to Provide Affordable and Quality Houses to Civil Servants

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita has reiterated the Federal Government’s resolve in providing quality and affordable houses to the Nigerian Federal Civil Servants.

The Head of the Civil Service made the commitment during the Opening Ceremony of the 13th Abuja International Housing Show scheduled from Tuesday, 23rd -26th July, 2019 in Abuja. In attendance was the Executive Secretary, Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board, Mrs. Hannatu Fika, the Director, Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) programme, Mr. Emmanuel Otu and other officials.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation who was represented at the ceremony by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack enjoined Federal Civil Servants to key into the FISH programme as the Government is determined to improve the welfare and wellbeing of Civil Servants.

The FISH programme is designed to provide quality and  affordable housing for Civil Servants through an integrated strategy involving bulk land allocation, site services, infrastructure development and inter-ministerial collaboration in line with the 2017-2020 Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP).

The Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) programme is among the key exhibitors at the Show keeping Civil Servants abreast with the benefits attainable by keying into the programme through its manuals.

The Abuja International Show exhibitor categories include Estate Developers, Building Materials, machinery and Equipment, Steel and aluminum productions. Also featuring at the Show are exhibitors of allied products like glass doors and windows, wood working, paints and coatings, furniture and interior decorations among others.
